Treatment Services
Mental Health Therapy
In-person sessions are weekly or bi-weekly, as needed. I use several approaches to treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS). I teach Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills as part of my practice.
Once a therapeutic relationship is established, treatment via video can be discussed (in the event of illness or because of exceptional circumstances).
Parent Coaching
Behavior is a form of communication. Some behavior is overwhelming, frightening, and unacceptable. Changing a child’s behavior isn’t easy. I rely on behavioral science to guide treatment. Thankfully, behavior can change — it won’t happen overnight, but with time and patience, we can help your child change. One key requirement: all of the child’s caregivers must participate in care.
Family Therapy
Raising teens is hard, especially now. I believe your relationship with your child can protect them.
Sometimes, misunderstandings and miscommunication can lead to conflict with our kids. While you want your child to be safe, honest, and confident, their behavior can be a big problem.
Attachment-based family therapy (ABFT) focuses on strengthening your relationship with your kid, by drawing out what hurts so we can build a shared story. I provide a safe and trusted space for the hard conversations you are struggling to have at home. The goal: build a secure bond you can all trust to last.
